05:59 pm - Some places are inspirational Today was a sunny day and I got out of the house for the first time in some time. I guess I feel rather drained due to the lack of light. So I went to the beach to recharge my batteries, and while I was there, decided to do something I wanted to do for some time now. Because of the stress of our day-to-day life we forget about beauty. We come home and watch tv or sink the rest of our time on facebook. We feel bad and blame everything for it. This happens to me a lot. I think we stress like this because we voluntarily cut our connection to nature. So I decided to share with you, while reminding myself, some places where this doesn't happen. Places where stress is washed away and replaced by something else. Whether because of their beauty or because magic reigns there. One of those places is where I'm living for the time being. Ericeira. It's a place by the sea, not that far from Lisbon. The beaches are full during Summer, and empty the rest of the year. Except for surfers, who surf all year and give us a show worth seeing. And for free. And there's the sea of course, that sings so loudly that we can't hear the sound of cars anymore. Tags: places

06:20 pm - Inglourious Basterds Ainda resolvi dar uma hipótese, mas honestamente... porque raio me dei a esse trabalho? Alguém me explique o fascinio pelo Tarantino, por que eu para além do jeito para a fotografia, não lhe vejo qualquer interesse. O filme é uma merda. Será que vivemos numa sociedade tão frustrada e com a violência tão reprimida que qualquer exibição gratuita e despropositada, mal contextualizada, serve como dose do dia? Porque de resto só consegui ver um filme mediocre, com uma actuação decente (a do oficial das SS alemão, mas pobre coitado, teve um fim de filme (e não me refiro à cena final) que deitou por terra tudo o resto). Chega de Tarantino para mim... vou me restringir a cinema a partir de agora.
